Robotic-Assisted Surgery Patient Outcomes

The sole purpose of robotic assistance in operating rooms is to provide better patient care with more precise movements, better visual perception, and enhanced surgeon ergonomics, leading to less physical stress on the surgeon during extended procedures. Duke REST is collaborating with Duke Institute for Health Innovation (DIHI) to study outcomes of robotic-assisted cases to further understand when robotic assistance is necessary and what patient demographic features can be flags for robotic-assisted surgery/patient matching.
